Dr. Robert Wilcox, DVM
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Wilcox started his career in veterinary medicine as a Veterinary Assistant at DeWitt Animal Hospital under the supervision of Dr. C. Barry Quinn. After completing his bachelor’s degree at LeMoyne College he attended school at the University of the Philippines where he graduated valedictorian of his class and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wilcox has been the owner and primary veterinarian at DeWitt Animal Hospital for over 25 years. He resides in Syracuse with his dog Louie.
Katelyn
Practice Manager
Katelyn shares her life with a total of five big and small fur kids – Mozzy and Choco (mix-breed dogs), Nina and Cece (cats), and her horse, Dev.
In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys caring for houseplants and is always learning something new. She recently just enrolled in an online Veterinary Technician program.
Alyssa
Office Manager
Alyssa joined our practice in 2017 as a certified Veterinary Assistant. In the time she has been here, she has grown to be an integral part of our hospital!
Alyssa began working with animals in the hopes of making a positive difference in their lives. Her dream job would be managing an in-home rehabilitation center for exotic animals.
She is also the proud owner of a Sphynx cat named Evie!
Samantha
Veterinary Receptionist
Sam started with us in 2023 and brings personable and valuable Veterinary Reception experience to our hospital team.
Sam has a passion for all animals and dreams of one day rescuing senior animals to have them live out their remaining time in a loving environment.
Sam enjoys kayaking, camping and traveling during the warmer months, otherwise you can find her cuddled up with her cat Pippin.
Julia
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Julia joined the DeWitt team in January 2021 after obtaining her NYS License. Julia graduated from SUNY Delhi with a double major; her primary focus being Veterinary Technology.
Julia enjoys playing all types of games, lunch dates with her mom, and spending time at home reading.
Nicole
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Nicole comes to us with a Licensed Veterinary Technician degree.
Nicole enjoys spending time with her cat, Baby Tigs, as well as crocheting and reading in her free time. Fun fact! Nicole is currently fostering kittens!
Kayla
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Kayla joined our practice in 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. Kayla is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Biology. She is now working on her Veterinary Technician degree.
In her spare time, she adores spending time with her Chihuahua, Sophia and her ball python, Fluffy.
Hope
Veterinary Assistant
Hope joined our practice in November 2022 as a veterinary assistant.
Hope enjoys spending time with her cat, Otis, and her German Shepherd, Goose. Hope is an avid reader and loves picking up a new book to add to her collection.
Andrea
Veterinary Shopper
Andrea has been with our practice since 2008. Andrea works full-time for a local school district, and volunteers at local shelters. Andrea loves the work she does with animals and enjoys running in her spare time.
Andrea lives with her adopted dogs, Ginger and Huckleberry.
